  1. You are watching “Square Trade”. episode of The Pitch as part of your learning materials for this week. In this episode, two agencies deliver a pitch to a client in person, using props and visual aids. Your assignment is to create a script with pitch information that is in your own words, and deliver the pitch.  Your pitch should include the following things:
    1. Tell the client about your agency.  You may use the name & story of the agency whose ideas you are pitching, or you may feel free to make up your own agency name and story.  Think of things that would impress a client – awards the agency has won, how long they’ve been in business, experience of the personnel, etc.Describe what are you suggesting to this client as a solution to the problem presented at the beginning of the episode – in other words, describe their campaign.  This might go something like “We will create a video that tells your customer about your brand story, and support that through social channels…” and so on.Sell the client on other things the agency can do for the client.  Good, persuasive, enthusiastic speech!  If you don’t love the idea, the client won’tThe Pitch, Season 2, Episode 3 – Square Trade
Some guidelines to help you succeed:
    • Don’t say what the people in the Pitch TV show said – use your own words.Be enthusiastic.  A pitch is how you sell an idea, and how you will sell your agency. You have an opportunity to revise your pitch before you deliver it. In person, you only get one shot. Make sure you take time to work out a really great pitch. The client won’t have an opportunity to ask for clarification or ask questions, so make sure your pitch is very thorough. In a previous unit, you created an Elevator Pitch.  This is NOT an elevator pitch!  You need to make sure that you are not just pitching the ideas to the client, but that you are also pitching your agency to the client.  What will your agency do for the client?  Why would they select your agency over others?  Why do you want to work for the client?Note that describing the campaign and pitching the campaign are two different components.
