Think-Pair-Share Technique
- Students will pair into teams of two or three
- Teams will prepare a PowerPoint presentation and give that presentation to the class
- Teams will have until the next class period to complete this task
- Think, discuss, and search the Internet about the following questions (make notes):
- What is your definition of leadership?
- List the three most important qualities necessary for leadership
- Which values do you think are most important in a leader? Why are they important?
- Can you identify any effective leaders who do not have those values?
- Which values do they exhibit? What makes them effective?
- What is the major barrier to being a leader?
- Are there personal and/or professional costs to being a leader? If so, explain
- Leadership: nature, nurture or both? Can it be learned?
- Has a particular book or person influenced your leadership style?
- Please provide a story of an instance when you demonstrated leadership.
